Lunch at New Heights
Becker joined his German team along with the Czech and Belgium teams to lunch at World Team Cup in Dusseldorf. This was not just any lunch though...try holding your lunch down when your lifted 50 meters in the air. BB who is usually calm and cool on the court had "butterflies in his stomach." For more information on the "Lunch in the Sky" go to: http://www.arag-world-team-cup.com/1/en/news/stories/newsarticle_246.asp .

Two generations of German tennis join to form an unbeatable team!
Renaissance Tennis Management is proud to announce the new sponsor of their Number One player Benjamin Becker: At the Masters tournament in Hamburg Benjamin signed a 3-year contract with his long time idol Boris Becker to endorse his new clothing line "Boris Becker".
"With his amazing success in his first year on the ATP tour year, being named the ATP Newcomer of the year and sharing the same initials "BB", Benni is the perfect testimonial for this new clothing line", says Norman Canter, founding partner and Managing Director of RTM.
Because of the famous and legendary initials "BB", Benjamin was always asked if there is any relationship between him and Boris. Until now, Benni had to negate this question: "It is like a dream come true", says Benjamin. "I started playing tennis because of Boris when I was a little kid. Now, I'm wearing his name on my shirt, when I walk out on the court. I'm feeling very honored".

Masters Series Events
BB played at the Tennis Master Series Event in Rome and found himself a victim to Sweden's Robin Soderling. Through a break of serve here and a break there, Becker found himself losing in a tight 63 63 match at the Master Series of Rome. This week BB travelled to his home country, Germany, and participated in the Master Series Event in Hamburg. In one of the tightest matches BB has played this year he lost 63 67(2) 63 to clay court specialist, Oscar Hernandez of Spain.

Becker falls in two breakers
BB had one of his closest matches of the year at the BMW Open in Munich. In just under two hours Russian Mikhail Youzhny defeated Becker 76(4) 76(3). The serving from each player was amazing as both players did not lose a service game and held off many break point opportunities from their opponent. During this match Becker led the battle in aces with eight to Youzhny's six. However, Youzhny won only six more total points to win the match.
