Becker draws No. 3 seed in Australia
Former Baylor all-American Benjamin Becker has his work cut out for him after drawing third-ranked Novak Djokovic of Serbia in the first round of the Australian Open, which starts Sunday in Sydney.

Becker, ranked 81st in the world, reached the quarterfinals of a season-opening tournament last week in Adelaide, Australia.

Benedikt Dorsch, another Baylor ex, lost to Adam Feeney of Australia, 7-6 (0), 6-2, in the first round of the Australian qualifier.

Becker advanced to the last eight
German Benjamin Becker advanced to the last eight with a business-like 6-4 6-4 victory over American Michael Russell.

Becker will meet Michael Llodra in the next round after the Frenchman concluded Wednesday's play with a 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 triumph over Russian Evgeny Korolev.
